Peyton's Journey Back to the Philippines

It has been about 6 months since I last blogged about Peyton.  It hasn't been the easiest transition for the little one (or for all of us for that matter) but because of the overwhelming help and support of our family and friends, we're almost settled here (just a few more bites of balot and couple more shots of Tanduay, everything will just be back to normal, hahaha).  The great thing about those 6 months was Peyton and Ant's bonding time.  Now that Ant is back to a usual work schedule,  Peyton plays their videos together (on the Ipad) as soon as Ant walks out the door.  And yes, he knows how to use an ipad better than his Dad! lol
Peyton is now 22 months, turning 2 this May!! He's adjusting pretty well here in the Philippines.  He sees more family and friends here so we're so happy about that.  He goes to Gymboree classes 2x a week and I still bring him there to play around the gym 2 to 3x a week or walk him in High Street Mall which is just a few steps away from where we live now or bring him down to the garden.  He loves seeing kids of all ages, gets excited and runs after them! I brought him to a trial preschool class in Gymboree but he stayed put for only about 5 minutes and just wanted to get out and play in the gym.
He's talking little by little, saying words like mama, dada (means diaper), dad, papa, milk, book, clock, up, help, and hearing more new words each day.  He just says them when he wants to. Just as stubborn as the dad. Haha! And sometimes he pretends to be an infant and crawls all over the place!  He knows how to entertain himself which I'm so happy about. :)

Favorite books :  The Very Hungry Caterpillar (all time fave), The Going to Bed Book, Puppies & Friends, Dr. Seus' Oh the Thinks You can Think & ABC

Favorite Song:  I Don't Wanna Say Goodbye (by my cousin Tey Punsalan)...one day i found him sitting in the corner of the room, bobbing to the music and just loves watching the video! Thanks Tey! :)

Favorite Toys:  Blocks, Shape Sorters, Puzzles, Balls, Cars & of of course, Ipad!

Favorite Videos:  Baby Einstein's On the Go & You're Baby Can Read

Favorite thing to do: Go to Gymboree and go nuts!

Favorite Food: Still mama's cooking such as Oatmeal & Banana for breakfast, Ginger Chicken Soup (Tinola) with rice for Lunch, & Milk poached Tilapia with Tomato Sauce and rice for dinner.  He loves sky flakes crackers to snack on.

Just a few days ago, he climbed out his crib & pack & play so now he sleeps on a mattress on the floor.  He still wakes up every 3 or 4 hours looking for mama since he can just get up and open the door by himself!  We're still in the process of sleep training on the bed so wish me luck!
